You can deposit a maximum of £20,000 per calendar year into your Personal Current Account or Joint Current Account for free via Post Office Branches. If you have a Joint Current Account, this limit is shared by both individuals.
Please note, if you hold a Personal Current Account and an Additional Personal Current Account then the £20,000 per calendar year limit is shared across your main account and your additional account.
Likewise, if you hold a Joint Current Account and an Additional Joint Current Account then the limit of £20,000 per calendar year is shared across your main and additional Joint Current Accounts.
Per transaction, you can deposit up to £20,000, with no more than £250 in coins. However, that can vary across Post Office branches, and some smaller branches may have a lower limit. If you’re depositing more than £2,000, it's best to check first with the branch.
