The Starling Marketplace offers a choice of accounting softwares which you can link to your Starling account to and benefit from a live bank feed with - allowing an automatic export of your transaction data to your chosen accounting software in real time.
Sometimes transactions may not appear within your chosen accounting package when you expect them to. Not all transactions which are visible in your Starling account will be exported, e.g. pending transactions (those which are still subject to change) won’t be exported yet.
Other times, it may be a genuine technical issue. For accounting services available through the Marketplace, a quick fix is to remove the service and reconnect it.
You can remove an accounting integration by heading to the Marketplace > Tapping the ellipsis at the top right > Selecting ‘Manage services’. On this page, find the relevant service, tap it, and click ‘revoke’.
To re-add FreeAgent or Xero, you can head into the ‘Accounting’ section of the Marketplace and set up the connection once more. QuickBooks can be set up again by visiting the dashboard in their online portal.
During the set-up, you will be asked to select a date in the past from which to sync transactions over to your selected accounting provider. At this point, you should select a date before any transactions are missing from your accounting feed to make sure that the missing transactions are included.
It’s possible that transactions could still be missing. At this point, please get in touch for us to look further into this for you.
