The ‘Bills to pay’ feature is available to those who subscribe to the Starling Business Toolkit, and can be accessed in Online Banking from the Bookkeeping section.
Click ‘Upload & pay a bill’ and select a file to upload. Once the file is uploaded, enter the bill details. If this is the first time you’re paying that supplier, then you’ll have to add them as a new payee, which we’ll guide you through. If it’s someone you’ve paid before, select them from the dropdown list.
Once you’re happy with the bill information, click ‘Schedule payment’. Enter a reference and click ‘Pay’. Confirm the payment from your mobile. When you go back to ‘Bills to pay’, you will now see this bill in the ‘Payments Scheduled’ list, or if you paid the bill immediately, it will be under the ‘Paid’ list. You can click on the bill to see the details.
This feature integrates with the Bookkeeping ‘to do’ lists - so a transaction which originated from ‘Bills to pay’ will automatically be set to ‘complete’, as it will have kept a record of the uploaded bill and any VAT details that you entered.
