To move a transaction from ‘To do’ to ‘Completed in the Business Toolkit,’ you must:
- Assign a business category to the transaction
- Assign a VAT rate to the transaction (if you’re VAT registered)
- Attach supporting documentation to a transaction.
The iZettle integration automatically assigns a business category and captures the VAT on a transaction, depending on what type of transaction it is. For example, card sales are automatically classed as ‘Revenue’ with the relevant VAT amount captured, whereas tips are classed as ‘Revenue’ but excluded from VAT automatically. The integration will also automatically attach a PDF to your transaction, showing the number of transactions and products sold that day.
